is more than just a statistical measure of variation...it is Compression Systems' business plan that focuses on the concept of continuous improvement by understanding the needs of our compression customers, analyzing our business processes and establishing proper measurements when evaluating our business. Since the inception of this operational excellence program, it has evolved from its defect reducing, statistically-based roots, to a broad set of tools and skills that can be utilized to improve any process within our corporation.
As opposed to just Six Sigma, we have incorporated the principle of Lean in our program. Lean represents our efforts to reduce waste and non-value added activities so that we can improve our ability to serve our compression customers. In addition to better serving our customers, also represents our commitment to improving our processes and developing individuals within our organization.
