Name: Veronica B.
Position: Six Sigma Group – Global Rotational Development Program
Department: Rotational Program
Years with Cameron: Almost 2 years
Cameron’s Rotational Program is the best way to experience the company. I love the idea of this program. It is an extensive introduction to the company which helps you become very well rounded. It also provides insight into guiding your future career with Cameron. Every six months, we are rotated into a new position, requiring us to grow into a new role within operations. They include, but are not limited to, roles in materials management, quality, manufacturing engineering and supervisor roles. It essentially gives you a wide breadth of exposure to the differences between the groups and divisions of the company. It also allows for us to see the inner-workings of what makes a company like Cameron run. Personally, I feel that this experience has truly guided me towards a position where I know I will achieve my best and become successful.
This program has really done wonders for my confidence; with each project and each rotation, there are numerous new challenges. I have learned how to approach them proactively and create solutions that make a real difference. In the short time I have been in this program, I have already led a maintenance management initiative that will be implemented corporate-wide. It’s extremely satisfying to know my efforts will improve plant maintenance for Cameron across the board.
I have seen my personal and professional skills develop, improve and grow exponentially. I also really like the variety I experience each and every day. I hope to continue to be in that environment after I complete my Rotational Program and start my role as a Six Sigma Business Leader (Black Belt). Cameron is a big company with lots of opportunities, and what makes it so unique is that it is still a close-knit company. That is very rare in a global organization. I am thrilled to have a future with Cameron and look forward to many things to come.
